Job Description:

Responsible for the installation, upgrade and monitor hardware systems, application modules, files for the assigned application inventory. Sys Admin will coordinate with Application Analyst to plan and complete testing system upgrades and updates, change control processes, file changes and system enhancements, as required, to ensure proper function and integrity of those systems. The Sys Admin reviews, analyzes, and evaluates the non-clinical systems.  Acts as the internal expert in terms of system technical capabilities and is also responsible for knowing what changes have been made to the base system. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor system activities daily including but not limited to:  Reacting to alerts and creating new alerts by implementing new monitoring tools, reviewing application logs, Create and verify backups of data
  • Responsible for managing the configuration and operation of on premises computer systems. This includes installation and testing of computer related equipment, OS upgrades and security patching, installing and configuring new hardware and software.
  • Work with Business Analysts to identify application/database needs and determines how the desired results can be achieved. Analyzes existing systems and develop or recommend new systems or modifications to existing systems
  • Work with Citrix server provisioning on Citrix Presentation Server installation, application installation/publishing, printing configuration and group policy administration
  • Review and/or create/maintain documentation for all processes and procedures associated with assigned application, working closely with the principal application analyst. This will include maintenance of backup and recovery plans

Skills, Education and Additional Information

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a Graduate Degree is preferred.
  • 5-8 years of work experience as a System Engineers, or experience as Sys Admin
  • 3-5 years’ experience in software implementation is required.
