Job Description:

The Solutions Architect, CRM is responsible for the advancement of Salesforce and contribution towards key business decisions on both a functional and technical level.   The Solutions Architect, CRM will demonstrate deep knowledge of all product offerings and solutions and will map functional requirements to Salesforce features and functionality.  Individual will be responsible for contributing to all aspects of the analysis, design, development, building and testing of solutions within a sprint cadence.  Solutions Architect will work closely with business and IT leaders to provide technical solutions to complex business needs.  Individual will develop an understanding of the business requirements and then align technical and process solutions to those requirements.  The position will provide governance and best practices/standards supporting the platform adoption and full application lifecycle (design, development, change control, UAT, deployment and support).

The Solutions Architect will work closely with technical and business leadership to architect solutions across the Salesforce, solutions, legacy platforms, and net new development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the technical design and implementation of solutions. Skills include technical architecture, configuration, integration, data conversion, testing and design of custom code enhancements.
  • Design and validate that the proposed solution architecture supports the stated and implied business requirements
  • Review technical team deliverables for compliance with architecture standards, guidelines and leverages best practices
  • Articulate and present different point of views on various technologies
  • Analyze user requirements, create technical specifications and apply proven application development and agile methodologies in order to accomplish business goals.
  • Provide expert knowledge and recommendations on Salesforce designs across a broad range of development methodologies and tools to ensure the success and sustainability of custom applications.
  • Ensure delivery of business needs in a timely cost-effective manner.
  • Assist in developing project plans, assigning the appropriate technical resources and cost estimations.
  • Guide junior developers in Salesforce best practices and principles.
  • Regularly communicate complex, technical issues to non-technical business leaders and technical project stakeholders by providing timely generation and distribution of content and project work.
  • Monitors progress of technical issue resolution and negotiate solutions as necessary.
  • Understand relational data structures and technologies to design, develop, and query stored data.
  • Provide reviews of technical deliverables and identify gaps/areas for improvement.
  • Provide/review detailed technical specifications required in each phase of the SDLC and comply to internal standards and guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize the environment, implement monitoring, quality and validation processes to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Provide 24x7 post-implementation support, respond to problem quickly and provide both short- and long-term resolutions.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
  • Participate in technical audits, design reviews and recommend improvements
  • Problem analysis, diagnosis and remediation including critical events / product rollouts
  • Planning, prioritizing and executing assignments within deadlines
  • Perform risk assessment and provide abatement / mitigation / remediation planning
  • Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations accordingly (build / buy)

Job Responsibilities

  • 15%Guide junior developers in Salesforce best practices and principles.
  • 60%| Design, develop, and test custom developed programs and processes.
  • 10%| Create and review detailed technical specifications required in each phase of the SDLC and comply to internal development standards and guidelines.
  • 10%| Provide 24x7 post-implementation support and provide both short- and long-term resolutions.
  • 5%| Utilize prescribed department change management processes and methodology to report anomalies, errors, inaccuracies or inefficiencies.

Skills, Education and Additional Information


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems is required
  • Technical architecture in salesforce
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to lead business discussions with customers and architect the value of our solution and the best practices to implement it
  • Experience in requirements gathering, use cases documentation, business analysis, systems design and integration, user interface design and implementation
  • Experience in data analysis, conversion and migration, interfaces and reports
  • Experience with gap analysis and blueprint development
  • Experience with system design using configuration and/or customization,
  • 8+ years of experience as a software developer with experience in multiple development languages and platforms.
  • Minimum 4 years of previous experience as a Salesforce Architect in a complex environment on the Salesforce platform.
  • Must have at least 2+ year experience as Salesforce lead developer in apex, building Lightning applications and using Lightning Design system, Lightning Implementation(s).
  • IT experience within a multi-facility healthcare organization is preferred.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer.
  • Must have enterprise level experience, within a professional services organization, as a Solution Architect and/or Business Consultant with a leading technology consulting or product company, delivering moderate to complex ERP, billing, revenue, procurement and/or CRM solutions (Salesforce experience is a plus)
