Job Summary/Purpose:

The Principal, I.S. Applications is responsible for leading a team of IS developers in strategic and day-to-day operations providing the most cost effective, efficient and reliable applications. He/she will collaborate with database, engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure the development of an efficient production application environment. The Principal collaborates with all IT leaders to ensure a continuous understanding of and improvement to business and customer needs as it relates to application architecture.

He/she facilitates the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design, maintenance and implementation of applications at CTCA. This provide the organization with orderly methods developing high quality, S.O.L.I.D. Production ready applications. Working with the Product Owner Principal, IS Applications is responsible for application delivery thru SCRUM ceremonies including backlog grooming and sprint planning, daily standup, and sprint review and retrospective. This will ensure that prioritized delivery of high quality application functionality.

Principal, IS Applications provides technical mentorship to other junior team members of the team in matters related to code branch management, environment configuration, and code release management. He/She is also responsible for ensuring code vulnerability scans are completed and published on timely basis.

Principal, IS Applications works closely with Director of Application Development to ensure proper handling of all team related issues so appropriate escalation occur and resolution is attained on timely basis.

Principal, IS Applications provides technical and process consultancy to teams outside of his/her current organization. He/she maintains appropriate presence with other teams as a technical liaison to upgrade and maintain application integration points.

Principal, IS Applications occasionally provides assistance to PMO in building the detailed project plan and assist with running project tasks in absence of a PM.

Principal, IS Applications independently participates, leads or provides subject matter expertise in high profile IS projects involving multi-disciplinary teams and/or external vendor focusing on delivering performant and secure technology solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-going training, mentoring, coaching, and professional development of staff
  • Works closely with Director of Application Development to ensure proper handling of all team related issues so appropriate escalation occur and resolution is attained on timely basis

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field is required
  • 10+ years of Application Development for consumer facing applications or related area is required
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • SCRUM Master certification is required
  • PMI certification is preferred
  • Expert in Microsoft .NET C#, Latest MVC (Razor/ASPX)
  • Expert in JavaScript, jQuery, and jQuery UI
  • Expert in writing elegant HTML5 and CSS3
  • Understanding of .NET 4.x and .NET Core frameworks.
  • Relevant understanding of online analytics and demonstrate proficiency in using web analytics tools
  • Strong experience with Microsoft TFS, specifically build and release management
  • Experience with Agile project management methodologies
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft IIS
  • Excellent understanding of web services, modular development, HTML/CSS, XML, SQL, and ORM
  • Experience with Sitecore is preferred
